Narateen

Are you a teen or do you know a teen that has been affected by someone else’s use of drugs?

Narateen is an integral part of the worldwide fellowship of Nar-Anon Family Groups.  Nar-Anon is a twelve step program for those whose lives are affected by the disease of drug addiction.

Narateen meetings provide support and hope to young people whose lives have been affected by a relative or friend’s addiction. Narateen meetings are facilitated and monitored by experienced and certified Nar-Anon members. Narateens are ages 13 through 17 - if you are 18 or older we would be happy to direct you to a Nar-Anon Meeting.

At Narateen Meetings, teens share their experiences and hope with other teens whose lives are affected by a relative or friend's addiction.

Through the Narateen group meetings, young people learn from each other effective ways of coping, while gaining some peace of mind and hope for a better way to live. Narateen members help one another by sharing their experience, strength and hope.

Narateen PNW meetings are every Tuesday (beginning April 6, 2021) at 7:00 pm PDT on Zoom. Contact narateenpnw@yahoo.com for a Zoom invitation.

Families and Friends of Addicts

Welcome to Nar-Anon
Family Groups for
Washington and Oregon States!

Welcome to the Pacific NW Family Groups website.  We are glad you found us.  Nar-Anon Family Groups are primarily for you who know or have known a feeling of desperation concerning the addiction problem of someone very near to you.  You are not alone.  We have traveled that unhappy road too, and found the answer with serenity and peace of mind.

What is Nar-Anon?

The Nar-Anon Family Groups are a worldwide fellowship for those affected by someone else's addiction.  Addiction is a family disease.  It affects the relationships of those close to the addict...parents, spouse, siblings, children, long-time friends and employers.  We who care the most suffer from the addict's erratic behavior.  As a Twelve-Step Program, we offer our help by sharing our experience, strength, and hope.

When you come into the family group, you are no longer alone but among true friends who understand your problem as few others could.  We will respect your confidence and anonymity, as we know you will respect ours.  We hope to give you the assurance that no situation is too difficult and no unhappiness is too great to be overcome.  Our program is not a religious one but a spiritual way of life.
